Solid start for Namibia against Holland

Namibia got off to a solid start in their Intercontinental Cup match against Holland, reaching 322/5 at the end of the first dayâ??s play on Thursday.

Although they lost opener Raymond van Schoor early on for four runs, the rest of the top order all made solid contributions.

Gauteng beat Namibia again

Namibia suffered their second defeat at the hands of Gauteng when they lost their SAA Cup limited overs match by five wickets on Sunday, February 17.

Namibia were trounced by an innings and 103 runs in their three-day SAA Challenge match on Saturday and things didnâ??t go much better in Sundayâ??s match.

Australia beat Namibia at U19 World Cup

Namibia lost their opening match at the Under 19 Cricket World Cup in Malaysia when they suffered a comprehensive 149-run defeat against Australia on Sunday.

Australia batted first and posted a big score of 312 all out off 48 overs.

Gauteng crush Namibia

Gauteng crushed Namibia by an innings and 103 runs in the SAA Challenge match in Johannesburg over the weekend.

Namibia were under pressure from the start when Gauteng built up a huge total of 422 for eight wickets declared in their first innings. Namibiaâ??s batsmen could not respond and were all out for 183 in their first innings, still 239 runs behind, and Gauteng immediately enforced the follow on.

Namibia beat Bermuda

Namibia beat Bermuda by 102 runs in their final U19 World Cup warmup match in Kuala Lumpur on Thursday.

After winning the toss, Namibia batted first and reached 224 all out off 48 overs, at a brisk run rate of 4,7 runs per over.

Gauteng in control against Namibia

Gauteng were firmly in charge against Namibia after the first dayâ??s play of their SAA Challenge match on Thursday, February 14.

Gauteng batted first and reached 378/6 after 80 overs at the end of the first dayâ??s play at the Wanderers field in Johannesburg.

South Africa beat Namibia by 9 wickets

Namibia suffered a comprehensive 9-wicket defeat to South Africa in their first firnedly warmup match for the Under 19 Cricket World Cup on Tuesday, February 12.

Playing in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, South Africa won the toss and sent Namibia in to bat.

Cricket washed out

Both Namibiaâ??s SAA Challenge and SAA Cup cricket matches against Free State were washed out after the heavy rains in the capital over the weekend.

Only one day of the scheduled three days in the SAA Challenge competition could take place, while the One Day Limited overs SAA Cup match, scheduled for Sunday, was called off due to a waterlogged pitch.
