SA Universities win in injury time
Submitted by editor on Sun, 07/27/2008 - 12:18.An injury time try and conversion gave South African Universities a 39-37 victory against a Namibian Welwitschia Invitation team on Saturday.
Namibia rallied strongly in the second half to build up a 31-22 lead, but the South Africans came back to reduce the gap to 37-32.
United beat Jaguars
Submitted by editor on Sat, 07/19/2008 - 22:11.United scored a comfortable 57-7 victory against Jaguars in a rugby Premier League match on Saturday, after leading 35-7 at halftime.
United dominated all aspects of play and although Jaguars defended courageously they couldnâ??t stop the gaps as United ran in nine tries.
Strong team to face Zimbabwe
Submitted by editor on Wed, 07/16/2008 - 14:15.National rugby coach John Williams has selected 12 of Namibiaâ??s foreign-based players for their World Cup qualifying encounter against Zimbabwe in Windhoek on August 2.
Speaking at a press conference at the Namibia Rugby Unionâ??s (NRUâ??s) headquarters on Wednesday morning, Williams said that it was a do-or-die match that Namibia had to win.
Falcons pull off dramatic victory
Submitted by editor on Sun, 07/13/2008 - 12:21.Reho Falcon pulled off a dramatic 19-18 victory against Western Suburbs in a top-of-the-log Club Rugby Premier League clash at Suburbs Park on Saturday.
Suburbs seemed to be heading for victory when they took an 18-12 lead in the second half, but Falcons struck back with a try in the final minute of the game.

Reho Falcons ran in eighth tries to Grootfonteinâ??s two tries to gain a bonus point and now lead the log with 30 points from seven matches.
Suburbs remain at the top

It was their sixth consecutive victory which saw them remaining at the top of the log with 27 points.
Reho Falcon beat United 33-31
Submitted by editor on Sun, 06/29/2008 - 12:40.Reho Falcon came from behind to beat United 33-31 in a thrilling rugby Premier League match at Unitedâ??s home ground in Olympia on Saturday afternoon.
United seemed to be heading for victory when they took a 31-19 lead halfway through the second half. But Reho Falconâ??s flyhalf Melrick Africa scored two great tries in quick succession as Reho snatched victory with five minutes remaining.
FNB launches FNB/WHS Sport Festival

The FNB Sport Festival involves U19 school team from Namibia, South Africa and New Zealand.
