On Saturday afternoon, all roads will be leading to the Hage Geingob stadium for the much-anticipated friendly encounter between Namibia and the South Africa Amateurs. The match forms part of Namibiaâ??s preparation for the IRB World Cup in France next month. Only a few foreign-based players will avail themselves for Saturdayâ??s clash as some are having commitments with their respective clubs over the weekend and will only rejoin the camp early next month.

Under 17 Youth Soccer

The match between Civics I and Orlando Pirates should be the pick of the bunch when the third round of the Khomas Under 17 Youth Football League takes place in Windhoek this weekend.

Civicsâ?? veteran defender Amos Shiyuka will bid farewell to the game with a glittering testimonial match in Windhoek on Saturday.
An Amos Shiyuka XI will take on a South African Legends XI in the main game at 16h00 which will be preceded by a curtain raiser between Civics Under 17 and African Stars Under 17.

Women's National Football Championships

The National Womenâ??s Football Championships take place at the Telecom Field in Pioniers Park this weekend.
The top two teams from the Khomas, Kunene, Kavango and Karas Regions will battle it out for the first prize of N$20 000, while the runner up will receive N$10 000, the third placed team N$5 000 and the fourth placed team N$2 000.

Namibiaâ??s Brave Warriors face the DR Congo in a crucial African Cup of Nations qualifier at Windhoekâ??s Independence Stadium on Saturday, June 16.
If Namibia win the match they will almost certainly go top of the log in Group 10 and will stand a real chance of qualifying for the AFCON finals in Ghana next January.

Stars will be desperate to win the title after reaching two Cup finals in the last two years, but finishing as the runners-up on both occasions.

The 2006/07 Namibia Premier League season comes to a close this weekend with matches in Windhoek, Walvis Bay and Oshakati.
Civics have already won the league for the third year in a row so attention now shifts to who will come second and who will be relegated along with Golden Bees of Outjo.
