Oliver and Wilko Risser â?? Rising stars

Brothers Oliver and Wilko Risser have become firm favourites with the Namibian public after some strong performances for the Brave Warriors during their World Cup qualifying campaign.

Oliver missed the first match against Kenya due to injury, but soon made his presence felt when he won his 21st cap against Zimbabwe. Against Guinea as well, Oliverâ??s hard tackles in midfield won Namibia numerous balls while he kept a firm check on Guineaâ??s dangermen Pascal Feindouno and Ismael Bangoura.

Last season he was in brilliant form for Eleven Arrows, scoring 16 goals as they finished fourth on the log. He subsequently went on to win the MTC Namibia Sport Player of the Season as well as the NFA Player of the Season awards.
