Namibia to play the Springboks

Namibiaâ??s national rugby team will play South Africaâ??s Springboks in a warm-up match before leaving for France to participate in the Rugby World Cup.
The South African Sunday newspaper Rapport reported that Namibia will play the Springboks at the Peter Mokaba Stadium in the Polokwane area of Limpopo province on August 15.

Jonay Briedenhann is top swimmer

Jonay Briedenhann of Namibia Swimming Academy was the outstanding swimmer at the Namibia National Championships, which ended in Windhoek on March 4.
Briedenhann won the Best Individual Performance trophy for achieving the highest FINA points at the championships. She got 674 FINA points for her winning performance in the Womenâ??s Open 200m Individual Medley event.

Namibiaâ??s run comes to an end

Namibiaâ??s progress in the SAA Cup competition came to a sudden halt when Northerns beat them by 133 runs in Windhoek on Sunday.
Had Namibia won the match they would have progressed to the semifinals in their first season in the competition, but the moment was too big and they succumbed under the pressure.

Six new records were established at the Namibia Swimming Championships which came to an end in Windhoek on Sunday.
Tristan McDonald of the Namibia Swimming Academy established one Open and two 13-14 age group records.

Reho Falcon win MTC Club Championships

Reho Falcon won the MTC Rugby Club Championships when they beat Western Suburbs 6-3 in the final on March 3.
Both teams had try-scoring opportunities, but handling errors and poor options saw the chances going astray.
