Upsets galore in Round 20
Submitted by editor on Sat, 05/04/2013 - 21:35.Round 20 of NPL saw some big upsets as the log leaders Black Africa and African Stars both lost, while the bottom two teams Mighty Gunners and Rundu Chiefs both won to close the gap on the rest of the pack.
Black Africa lost 4-1 to Tigers on Friday, but African Stars spurned a great chance to take the lead when they suffered a shock 1-0 defeat to Eleven Arrows.
Bottom of the log Rundu Chiefs meanwhile beat Ramblers 1-0 at home to climb to 19 points, the same as Mighty Gunners who beat Blue Waters 3-1 in Walvis Bay.
Arrows shock African Stars
Submitted by editor on Sat, 05/04/2013 - 21:08.Eleven Arrows shocked African Stars with a 1-0 victory at the Sam Nujoma Stadium on Saturday to throw the title race wide open again.
Emil Dorgeloh scored the winner, heading in a corner 10 minutes from time to give Arrows an unlikely victory after Stars had done most of the attacking throughout the match.
The result means that Black Africa, who also lost to Tigers on Friday night, remain one point ahead of Stars at the top of the log.

Cosafa Cup draw
Submitted by editor on Sat, 05/04/2013 - 11:04.Namibia was drawn to play Tanzania, Mauritius and Seychelles in Group B of the 2013 Cosafa Cup when the draw was made in Lusaka, Zambia on Friday night.
The draw was made in Lusaka on Friday night, where the 14 competing nations in the Southern African champions learnt their fate for the tournament that will take place in Lusaka from July 6-20.
The eight lowest seeded sides according to the April FIFA World Rankings were pooled into two groups of four sides each.
Groups hotly contested at Skorpion Zinc Cup

A victory for either Oshana or Hardap can mean a semifinal place from Group B, while Caprivi and Oshikoto will fight it out to join Erongo in the semifinals from Group C.
After Day Two action in which 33 goals were scored, in Group A Otjozondjupa amassed six points from three matches, the same that Khomas got from two matches.
Tigers stun Black Africa
Submitted by editor on Fri, 05/03/2013 - 22:27.Black Africa’s title credentials took a big knock as Tigers pulled off a stunning 4-1 victory in their Premiership match at the Sam Nujoma Stadium on Friday night.
Two goals apiece by Panduleni Nekundi and Benson Shilongo before a late penalty by Willy Stephanus gave Tigers a comprehensive win, that sees them moving up to third on the log.
BA remain on top but African Stars can take over at the top if they draw or beat Eleven Arrows on Saturday.
