Suburbs book Premier League final ticket

Western Suburbs booked a place in the MTC Rugby Premier League final after beating Unam 37-14 at the Unam Stadium on May 5.
Suburbs gained a crucial bonus point after scoring five tries to overtake Wanderers into second position on the log. In one of the tightest finishes in recent years, Suburbs joined Reho Falcons at the top of the log on 20 points, followed by Wanderers on 19 and United on 18 points.

Kambonde scores injury time winner

An injury time goal by Wycliff Kambonde gave Blue Waters a crucial 2-1 victory against Oshakti City at the Kuisebmund Stadium on May 5.
The victory gave Blue Waters a bit of breathing space in the relegation battle as they joined Orlando Pirates on 23 points â?? four points clear of Friends, who are second last on the log.

Lassen wins Namibian Open after play-off

Werner Lassen won the Bank Windhoek Namibian Open Golf Tournament for a record 10th time on May 5 after beating Andrew Dodds on a sudden death play-off.
Both golfers finished on a total of 292 after four rounds at the Windhoek Country Club to force the play-off, which Lassen won at the first hole.

Civics are crowned the champions

Civics won the Namibia Premier League title for the third year in a row after thrashing Tigers 4-0 amid scenes of jubilation and ecstasy at Windhoekâ??s SKW Stadium on Friday night.
The victory puts Civics clear at the top of the log on 46 points â?? 10 more than second-placed Oshakati City, who only have three matches remaining and cannot overtake Civics anymore.
