Numerous changes to national rugby squad

N$6 million sponsorship for Namibian rugby
Submitted by editor on Thu, 05/10/2007 - 13:53.Namibian rugby received a massive boost on Thursday when Namibian cellular provider MTC announced a sponsorship of N$6 million over three years.
The sponsorship will give MTC exclusive branding rights to the Namibian leagues and the national team as well as the Hage Geingob Rugby Stadium.
Friends face relegation axe
Submitted by editor on Wed, 05/09/2007 - 22:32.Friendsâ?? relegation fears deepened after they were held to a 1-all draw by Tigers at Windhoekâ??s Independence Stadium on Wednesday night.
Friends are now second last on the log on 20 points â?? still four points behind Blue Waters â?? with two matches remaining. They will now have to win their final two matches against Civics and African Stars and hope Blue Waters slip up against Eleven Arrows in their final match if they hope to remain in the Premier League.
Ramblers aim for second place

Civics are assured of the first prize of N$500 000, but Ramblers, however, still have a lot to play for â?? N$95 000 in fact â?? since the second placed team will receive N$225 000 and the third placed team N$130 000.
