This year`s Easter-weekend is dedicated wholly to motor sport. On Friday the 6th of April another Wesbank Moto Cross Championships race will be held on the race-track near the salt pans. On Saturday a Rally-event will be held and on Sunday, 8th of March, the Enduro-Working group (WMCC) will host a CTM-Enduro race with start and finish also located on the MX-track at the salt pans.
Namibian rhythmic gymnasts excel in Stellenbosch
Submitted by editor on Fri, 04/06/2007 - 10:59.Namibian gymnasts excelled at the International Inter-Club Competition in Stellenbosch from March 28-31.
Gymnasts from Bulgaria, Czechoslovakia, Malaysia, Namibia, Australia, Zimbabwe, Ukraine and South Africa competed at the event. In the senior category, Ukraine was represented amongst others by Anna Bessanova who won a silver medal at the 2004 Olympic Games.
Botes must appeal again

The Namibia Football Association (NFA) still has to submit an appeal against the six-match suspension that Brave Warriors captain Henrico Botes received from the Confederation of African Football (CAF) in October last year.
Commonwealth champion Ali Nuumbembe arrives home
Submitted by editor on Thu, 04/05/2007 - 12:55.Namibiaâ??s Commonwealth welterweight boxing champion Paulus â??Aliâ? Nuumbembe was welcomed as a hero by President Hifikipunye Pohamba at State House this morning.
Nuumbembe arrived at the Hosea Kutako International Airport this morning where he was met by Deputy Minister of Youth and Sport, Pohamba Shifeta, the president of the Namibia Amateur Boxing Federation Kelly Nghixulifwa and several members of the boxing fraternity. They included Namibiaâ??s other two professional champions â?? Paulus â??The Hitmanâ? Moses, who holds the WBA Pan African and Intercontinental Lightweight titles and Jason Naule, who holds the WBA Pan African Junior Welterweight title.
