The Southern Stream First Division is heading for an exciting climax, with three teams battling it out to gain promotion to the MTC Namibia Premier League.
Invincible Football Club of Windhoek scored a crucial 2-0 victory against Fedics United of Keetmanshoop in Windhoek on April 15 to move within a point of log leaders Deportivo Alaves. Deportivo now lead the log with 30 points from 12 matches, followed by Invincible on 29 points from 12 matches and Fedics on 28 points from 13 matches.

Civicsâ?? president and coach Helmuth Scharnowski is recovering after a successful heart bypass operation in Germany and has expressed confidence that they can win the MTC Namibia Premier League title for the third year in a row.

Namibia moved a further five places down on the FIFA/Coca-Cola World Rankings according to the latest release.
Namibia are now ranked 128th in the world, five down from 123rd position, which they held last month.

The MX-bikes were barely rid of the aggressive salty sand from the coast, when they were already moved in an easterly direction: to Gobabis. Messrs Big-5, headed by Wikus Engelbrecht, acts as the main sponsor. Wikus is also the driving force behind the Gobabis Moto Cross Club. According to received information the track was broadened and a 30m jump was built in front of the spectators terrace. The riders enjoy riding in Gobabis, because the consistency of the soil is absolutely unique in Namibia.

The defending champions Okahandja Beauties overtook Rehoboth Queens at the top of the Khomas Womenâ??s Football League log, following matches over the weekend.
Queens, who were unbeaten before the weekendâ??s matches, suffered a shock 4-1 defeat to the Namibia Defence Force (NDF).
