Onambula win Hansa Cup

Onambula United of the Omusati Region won the Hansa Cup after beating Eleven Brothers of Otjiwarongo 2-1 in the final in Oshakati on April 21.
Onamubula were the first to score, but Eleven Brothers equalized shortly before halftime.

FIFA community course launched in Windhoek

A three-day FIFA community course was launched in Windhoek on April 23.
The course was attended by members of Namibiaâ??s football fraternity and the government, including Minister of Sport John Mutorwa and Namibia Football Association president John Mutorwa.

Louw out for season

Civicsâ?? influential midfielder Rudi Louw will be out for the rest of the season after injuring his lower right leg during their 2-0 victory against Eleven Arrows on April 22.
Midway through the second half Louw burst through Arrowsâ?? defence and broke into the penalty area where he was upended by Arrrowsâ?? keeper Vonk Tjihenuna. Louw injured his fibia, just above the ankle in the clash and play had to be suspended for several minutes as he received medical treatment.

Brian Gurirab opened the scoring early on when he latched onto a great throughball by Dumisa Jantze to score from close range.

Wanderers overpower Unam

Wanderers beat Unam 41-11 on April 21 to keep their hopes alive of qualifying for the MTC Namibia Rugby Premier League final.
Unam were competitive in the first half and, in fact, were leading 15-8 at the break, but they couldnâ??t contain a rampant Wanderers side in the second half. Wanderersâ?? scrum was awesome, while their forwards and backs combined swiftly as they ran in a total of six tries to gain an important bonus point.
