Ten-man Stars beat Gunners

African Stars beat Mighty Gunners 1-0 in the first MTC NFA Cup semifinal match at the Kuisebmond Stadium on Saturday, despite being a man down for half of the match.
In a moment of madness just before halftime, Starsâ?? defensive midfielder Isaac Mwinga headbutted Mighty Gunners striker Paulus Shingenge and was given his marching orders.

History beckons for Civics

Civics are on the verge of winning the MTC Namibia Premier League title for the third year in a row.

Commonwealth champion Ali Nuumbembe arrives home

Namibiaâ??s Commonwealth welterweight boxing champion Paulus â??Aliâ? Nuumbembe was welcomed as a hero by President Hifikipunye Pohamba at State House on April 5.
Nuumbembe arrived at the Hosea Kutako International Airport where he was met by Deputy Minister of Youth and Sport, Pohamba Shifeta, the president of the Namibia Amateur Boxing Federation Kelly Nghixulifwa and several members of the boxing fraternity. They included Namibiaâ??s other two professional champions â?? Paulus â??The Hitmanâ? Moses, who holds the WBA Pan African and Intercontinental Lightweight titles and Jason Naule, who holds the WBA Pan African Junior Welterweight title.
