Ramblers shock DTS

Ramblers pulled off a shock 2-1 win against DTS in a menâ??s Premier League indoor hockey match on February 27.
Ramblers hadnâ??t won a match all season and were firmly entrenched at the bottom of the log, while DTS just two days earlier went down 4-3 to Unam in the final of the Unam Pepsi Indoor Tournament. But they didnâ??t have an answer against a fired-up Ramblers who defended superbly and caught DTS with quick counter-attacks.
DTS took the lead when Aiden Bates turned in a centre by Sedric Makati, but Coenie Wessels equalised shortly before halftime, slamming in a Waldo Lassen short corner.
DTS dominated possession after the break, forcing several short corners, but they could not crack Ramblersâ?? defence. Their goalie Andrew Main was in fine form, pulling off some great saves against Emile Visser, Bates and Makati.
With three minutes remaining, Ramblers took the lead against the run of play. Lassen initiated a quick counter-attack, passing to Jan Steenkamp who put Wessels clear to score his second goal.
