Paddy Murphy won the National Triathlon Championships in Swakopmund on February 25.
Running in the veteranâ??s category the 44-year-old Murphy completed the 1,3km swim, 40km cycle and 10km run in a time of 2:03:51.

Murphy was first out of the water and finished well ahead of Paul Brinkman and Cordula Moller who finished joint-second in 2:10:07.
Braam van Zyl came third overall in 2:25:45, while Charmaine Shannon was the second female, finishing in 2:26:53.
Elke Jagau won the Female 45+ category in 2:34:23, while Johan van Niekerk won the Male 45+ category in 2:34:15.

Youngsters coming through
Close to 30 juniors and Iron Kids also entered the triathlon championships. Vera Adrian won the Junior Girlsâ?? Under 13 category (400m swim, 10km cycle and 2,5km run) in 42:28, while Drikus Coetzee won the Junior Boysâ?? category in 39:46. JP Engelbrecht came second in 42:19 and Christiaan van den Heever third in 45:02.
Abraham Louw won the Junior Boys Under 15 category over the same distance in 37:35, followed by brother Leon (41:25) and Deon Hoto (43:41).
Jonas Ngino won the Junior Boys Under 19 category (750m swim, 20km cycle and 5km run) in 1:16:31, while Romano Thiro came second (1:25:56).
