Namibia?s World Boxing Association (WBA) Pan African lightweight champion, Paulus ?The Hitman? Moses, has set his sights on the International Boxing Organisation (IBO) title which was recently won by South Africa?s Isaac Hlatswayo.
After watching Hlatswayo from the ringside taking the International Boxing Organisation (IBO) title from his close friend Cassius Baloyi, Moses and his trainer and promoter Nestor Tobias decided to challenge the South African.
Tobias said that he was not impressed by what he saw on fight night.
He said the fight was fought at a slow pace and both fighters were fatigued after 12 rounds.
?Hlatswayo is aggressive and strong but he has got nothing special. He is a good champion, well-behaved and disciplined, but the Hitman is a better boxer than him and we can prove it in the ring,? said Tobias.
Moses? camp is convinced that he has what it takes to win bigger titles after he won the vacant WBA Pan African lightweight title at the Windhoek Country Club on August 5. On that occasion Moses sent South Africa?s Joni Simphiwe to the canvas twice before winning the fight on a technical knockout in the sixth round.
Meanwhile, the Hitman, who is unbeaten after 13 professional fights, is scheduled to trade blows with South Africa?s Peter Adams in a non-title fight at the Ongwediva Trade Fair Centre on October 1.
