Pumas maul Namibian Invitational team

The visiting cricket team from Mpumalanga Province of South Africa defeated a Namibian Invitational team by six wickets in a three-day game that ended at the Wanderers Cricket Ground on September 20.
In their first innings, Namibian racked up a total of 329 runs, with JB Burger scoring 126 runs. Burger shared a first wicket stand of 131 runs with Dawid Botha (45).
In their first innings Mpumalanga scored 309 runs with J. Jordaan unbeaten on 159 runs off 253 balls, while R Hugo scored 74.
The best bowler for Namibia was their coach, Andy Waller, who took 2/67 off 18 overs.
In the second innings, the Namibian combination side collapsed to just 159 runs with ST Ackermann (38) contributing most of the runs.
Mpumalanga bowlers D. Townsend (4/31) and D. Grobbelaar (5/74) caused most of the damage.
In reply to the Namibian second innings total the visitors scored 183 runs for the loss of just four wickets, with J. Jordaan (68) and R. Hugo (66) once again clubbing the local bowling attack into submission.
The two teams are to play each other in a one-day game on September 21.
