Namibiaâ??s preparations for the African Cup of Nations finals continued in earnest with three friendly matches played during the space of a month.
Although Namibia ended up on the losing side on each occasion, the Brave Warriors built up some much needed experience as all the matches were played away from home.
On October 17, Namibia lost 2-0 to Morocco in Rabat, on November 2 Namibia lost 1-0 to Saudi Arabia in Riyadh, and on November 17 Namibia lost 2-0 to Tunisia in Tunis.
Namibia the underdogs
National coach Ben Bamfuchile said Namibia would start as the underdogs in Ghana but they would do their best to pull off a surprise or two.
Ć¢??Guinea is a very good team. I had the opportunity to play Guinea at the last Nations Cup in Egypt when I was with the Zambian team and they beat us 1-0. They have good players who play in Europe.
We are really looking forward to the first game against Morocco because it will give us direction. If we can win the first game it will make our life much easier, because then we will just need a draw to qualify for the second round.
