Namibia loses to Brazil, Japan

Namibia is currently second last in Pool B of Group D after losing its opening two matches at the World Inline Hockey Championships in Kuipo, Finland.
On July 10 Namibia lost its opening match 7-3 to Brazil.
Namibia opened the scoring through a goal by Riyaan Ely in the 2nd minute, but Brazil gradually took control of the match. They equalised in the 10th minute, and although Namibia initially defended well, the floodgates opened as Brazil took the lead in the 22nd minute. In the next 10 minutes they added four more goals to take control of the match, and added their 7th goal in the 39th minute.
Michael Ellinger scored Namibia?s 2nd goal in the 35th minute, while Quintin Kotze added their third goal in the 44th minute.
For Brazil, Jose Guilardi, Pedro Raposo and Caua Guzman each scored two goals.
On July 11, Namibia lost 6-3 to Japan.
Japan took an early lead, scoring two goals in the opening four minutes. Timo Giersch pulled one back for Namibia in the 6th minute, while Riyaan Ely put Namibia back on level terms in the 22nd minute.
In the 28th minute Namibia actually took the lead through Giersch?s second goal, but Japan immediately struck back to make it 3-all.
For the next ten minutes, Namibia?s defence held, but Japan finally wrapped up the match with three quick goals in the final five minutes.
Namibia?s final Group match is against Taiwan.
