Tigers collected six vital points in the Khomas Under 17 Youth Soccer League over the weekend. On Friday, Tigers beat the Mario Nailenge Football Academy (MNFA) 2-0 at the Moses van der Byl soccer field before going on to collect three points against the Brave Gladiators, who were unable to honour their fixture.
On Saturday, African Stars caused an upset against S.Bala as they narrowly defeated stream A runners-up with a 2-1 victory. Bala however redeemed themselves the following day as they went on to beat Vision 2010 2-1.
The Collin Benjamin Soccer Academy (CBSA) and Civics II collected three points and two goals as Shipena Stars failed to honour their league commitments. Before that, CBSA drew 2-2 with Arcadia, who went on to beat the Namibia Youth Football Development Programme 2-1 on Sunday.
Stream B log leaders, Civics I continued with their outstanding form as they once again proved their mettle in a 4-1 victory over Kukulethu on Saturday. The next day, the young Civilians could only settle for a 2-all draw against KASU.
In their three games over the weekend, Windhoek High School (WHS) drew two of their encounters, whilst losing the other. On Friday, they held KASU to a goalless draw and lost 2-1 to MNFA on Saturday. In their last game on Sunday, the boys from WHS could only settle for a 1-all draw against Orlando Pirates.
