Blue Bulls crush local opposition

In a dazzling display of class and strength the Blue Bulls overpowered a Windhoek Barbarians side 107-0 at the Hage Geingob Stadium, in Windhoek, on June 17.
The Bulls scored 17 tries in a totally one-sided affair and flyhalf Derick Hougaard converted eleven of his 17 attempts at the poles.
The Bulls try scorers were Wessel Roux (2), JP Nel (2), Johan Roets (2), Derick Hougaard (2), John Mametsa (2), Johan Wasserman (2), Etienne Botha, Heini Adams, Riaan van den Berg, Anton Leonard and Wynand Olivier.
More than 3 000 spectators turned up to witness the Namibian side being trampled by the defending Currie Cup champions.
The half-time score was 43-0.
In their previous match at the Atlantis Field in Walvis Bay on June 15, the Blue Bulls beat a coastal invitation team 56-6.
The Blue Bulls were in Namibia on a training camp in preparation for the up-coming Currie Cup season, which kicks off on June 24.
