Wanderers thrashed Oshakati Cricket Club by 160 runs to win the MTC Premier League title on Saturday.
It was the second year in succession that the two teams met in the final, and once again Wanderers ended up on the winning side.
Wanderers batted first and scored a formidable total of 288 for 7 off their 50 overs.
Openers Pieter Grove scored 28 and Bjorn Kotze 19, before Henno Prinsloo and Gerrie Snyman put Wanderers in charge with a fine partnership.
Both batsmen scored 64 runs, with Prinsloo scoring seven fours and Snyman four fours and two sixes.
Deon Kotze scored 33, Armand Nederlof 14 and Neil Rossouw two runs.
The not out batsmen were Stefan Swanepoel (25) and Tobie Verwey (9).
Ashley Griffiths (2/49 off 10 overs) and Burton van Rooi (2/78 off 10 overs) were Oshakatiâ??s top bowlers.
The other wicket takers were Kola Burger (1/39), Gareth Cloete (1/48) and P Stoman (1/23).
Taibu out for a duck
Oshakati were immediately in trouble when their star batsman Tatenda Taibu was dismissed for a duck, caught behind off Gerrie Snymanâ??s bowling.
Bjorn Kotze then ripped through the top order, dismissing Gareth Cloete for 8, Pieter Greyling for 4 and clean bowling Burton van Rooi for a duck.
R Manyande stopped the slide temporarily, scoring 43 before he was dismissed off Nicolaas Scholtzâ?? bowling, while captain Kola Burger scored 45 not out.
Henno Prinsloo cleaned up the tail, dismissing Jason Branlow for 4, Willem Greyling for a duck and P Stoman for 1.
Last man in, N Mcingolwane was run out for a duck, as Oshakati was all out for 128 runs.
Bjorn Kotze (3/13 off 5 overs) and Prinsloo (3/18 off 9 overs) were Wanderersâ?? best bowlers. The other wicket takers were Gerrie Snyman (1/18), Morne Engelbrecht (1/25) and Nicolaas Scholtz (1/51).
