Mighty Gunners send Black Africa packing

Mighty Gunners produced the biggest shock of the MTC NFA Cup quarterfinals when they knocked Black Africa out at the Oshakati Stadium on Saturday.
The Otjozondjupa First Division champions stunned Black Africa with two goals within three minutes in the second half, and although BA veteran Masepo Dausab managed to pull one back from a freekick, Mighty Gunners held on for a memorable victory.

Orlando Pirates 4 Eleven Brothers 2

The defending champions Orlando Pirates had an early scare against another Otjiwarongo team, Eleven Brothers, before they recovered to run out 4-2 winners.
Gerson Doeseb pounced on to a defensive mix up to put Eleven Brothers ahead, but Pirates striker Patrick Jagger equalized just before halftime when Brothersâ?? goalie Ronny Kahuure fumbled a cross.
Pirates took the lead when Clarence Khaiseb accidentally headed into his own goal and they went further ahead through a great shot by captain Ivan Namaseb from the edge of the box.
Eleven Brothers were reduced to ten men when Khaiseb was sent off after a second yellow card, but they came out attacking and Desmond April scored from a centre into the box.
In injury time Ettienne Beukes blasted the ball into the net from a Patrick Jagger freekick.

African Stars 2 SKW 1

African Stars came from behind to beat Cymot SKW 2-1.
SKW took the lead when they won a freekick and Marco van Wyk glanced a header into the net shortly before halftime.
Stars however came out attacking after the break and equalized when Maleagi Ngarizemo glanced a header into the net from an Erwin Njembo freekick.
Stars took the lead from another setpiece when captain Andrew Tjahikika headed in from a corner.
Stars finished stronger and had several more scoring opportunities, as SKWâ??s challenge faded.

Ramblers 4 Eleven Arrows 0

Kingsley Ramblers outplayed Eleven Arrows to score a comfortable 4-0 victory.
Ramblers took control of the game from the start and went ahead when Tommy Horaeeb stabbed in a cross by Gerson Keister.
Ramblers went further ahead when Riaan Cloete volleyed in a cross and Bernadine Mbilizi made it 3-0 when he chipped the ball over Vonk Tjihenuna just before halftime.
Any hopes of an Arrows recovery were quickly dispelled when Ramblers received a penalty for a handball in the box and Costa Khaiseb put the ball into the corner of the net.
The draw for the semifinals will be made at Soccer House in Katutura on Monday. The semifinals are scheduled to take place on April 28 in Walvis Bay.
