Black Africa sharp shooter Jerome Louis is our FNB Player of the Season after receiving the most votes from our panel of judges and the readers of Namibia Sport.
It was a tight race with Louis just pipping his Black Africa team mate Arnold Subeb to the title.
Louis received five votes, while Subeb received 4 votes, Bryan Bantam 2 votes, Hendrik Somaeb 1 vote, Richard Kavendji 1 vote and Edy Mangoumou 1 vote.
The voting panel was made up of the Premier League coaches, Namibia Sport editor Helge Schutz and the readers of Namibia Sport. As our FNB Player of the Season, Louis wins a unit trust to the value of N$1 000 from FNB Namibia.
Top goal scorer
Louis had a great season with Black Africa and his prowess in front of goals played a big role in them winning the Premier League for the second season in a row. Louis ended up as the joint top goal scorer with 12 goals along with Hotspurs striker Richard Kavendji.
He has also proved to be one of the most consistent players in the league since bursting onto the scene as a young striker for Black Africa in 2006.
He soon made the centre forward position his own and in the ensuing five years built up a great record as Namibia’s top goal scorer in the Premier League.
