Volleyball first round to conclude

DTS v Unam

The Bank Windhoek National Volleyball League will conclude its first round for the Men’s League in Windhoek at the DTS Hall on Saturday, 9 June.

This weekend’s games are not to be missed as the league’s two most popular teams will meet for the first time since the beginning of the season.

The defending champions Unam will have their work cut out against NDF who are still unbeaten this season and leading the log.

Unam, on the other hand, have already lost to SKW and are currently third on the log.

This match is expected to draw a lot of interest since these teams always bring out the best in each other.

NDF finished second last season after losing both their first and second round matches against Unam.

Other matches that will also be interesting to watch will be between Khomas Police Volleyball Club (KNVC) and DTS.

KNVC is currently fifth on the log, while DTS is lying fourth. With both these teams fighting to avoid relegation, a big battle can be expected.

In another match, SKW, who are currently second on the log, will start as the favourites against bottom of the log Rehoboth Volleyball Club

Four matches will also be played in the Women’s League. In two exciting encounters, second-placed NDF will take on Polytechnic, while DTS will also play Polytechnic.

The National League started on 28 April and will continue until September, with the last match scheduled for 15 September.
