It’s all systems go for the resumption of the NFA Women Super League as JS Academy aim to remain on course for their first title.
The Sam Nujoma Stadium in Windhoek will be the venue for the start of the third round of matches on Saturday and action will start at 10h00 with a game featuring third-placed Poly Babes against Challengers.
Unam Bokkies will then take on JS Academy who lead the log with 25 points at 11h50, in what promises to be a titanic clash as both sides need points for different reasons.
JS Academy need to win this game to remain on course to clinch the title while Bokkies in fifth place on just nine points, will want to hit the double figures and move clear of the bottom half of the table.
Unam Bokkies boast a side that includes several players that are part of the 2012 TISAN team such as former Brave Gladiators winger Leandri Soekie Lucas.
Okahandja Beauties, who are second on 24 points, will then take on 21 BD United at 13h40 in the final match of the day.
Challengers are bottom of the log and have lost all 10 their games thus far and will need to start winning. However their preparations have been going well as they trounced the newly established Prisons Female team 4-1 in a recent friendly match.
The NDF team, 21 BD United are in fourth place on the log on 10 points and have been a real match for Academy, Beauties and Babes this season. They have in their ranks some experienced players such as former national team player Faustina Hamutenya and in their coach Helena Iipinge, who also represented the Brave Gladiators, the team could still have a say in the title race.
