The Khomas Nampol Volleyball Club (KNVC) women’s team kept their unbeaten record in the Bank Windhoek Volleyball National League 2012 after beating DTS 3-0 at the Patrick Iyambo Police College last weekend.
So far, KNVC have only lost one set to all their opponents since the start of the league at the end of April.
DTS put up a fight in the first set before KNVC took it 25-23, but KVNC stepped up a gear to comfortably win the next two sets 25-19, 25-16.
In the second game of the day, Unam also beat DTS in three sets. Unam comfortably won the first two sets and although DTS provided strong resistance in the third set, Unam won the match 25-18, 25-19, 26-24.
Four games were supposed to have been played in the women’s league, but the Polytechnic team did not show up for either of their two games.

In the men’s category that took place at the University of Namibia Gym Hall, the NDF kept their clean record after winning both their games against DTS and Rehoboth VC 3-0. The NDF team showed their supporters that they are still the top team in the country after winning both their matches in less than 20 minutes.
Last season’s champions, UNAM, won both their games against DTS and Rehoboth VC. Under the leadership of their player-coach Kamwi Sezuni, the young student team showed some exceptional skills and talent. On this form they can well still pose a threat to NDF later in the season.
