Old Mutual recently launched the annual Old Mutual Far North Championships in Ongwediva.
It is the ninth consecutive year that the championships will be held, while Old Mutual has contributed a total of N$1 271 400 during that time for the promotion and organisation of the event.
The total sponsorship for 2012 amounts to N$227 000.
In partnering with the Ministry of Youth, National Service and Culture and Schoemans, prize winners will be awarded with a photocopier machine to the value of N$15 000 including cash prizes, trophies and medals.
Regional winners from Ohangwena, Oshikoto, Omusati and Oshana will also each receive prizes totalling N$48 000 for first, second and third places respectively.
Schools in the four regions will compete against each other in soccer and netball.
The following individual prizes will also be up for grabs in the soccer and netball competitions:
Player of the Tournament; Best Goalkeeper, Best Defender, Top goalscorer, Best shooter, Best behaved team, and Best upcoming player.
