Windhoek Old Boys beat DTS 5-3 to move up to second position in the Telecom Namibia Indoor Hockey Men’s Premier League competition over the weekend.
WOB’s national striker Siabonga Martins had a great match, scoring four of their goals, while Joel Vorster scored their fifth goal.
DTS’ scorers were Wian Shickerling who scored a brace and Luke Bolton with one goal.
The bonus point victory now puts WOB in second position on the log with 8 points from three matches. They previously beat the X Team but lost to log leaders Unam.
Unam still lead the log with a maximum 12 points from their opening three matches.
In the Women’s Premier League, DTS continued their unbeaten run as they beat WOB 5-2 on Saturday.
Magy Mengo scored a hattrick for DTS while Didi Foerster and Kaylee Schickerling scored one goal each. Gillian Heathcote scored both WOB’s goals.
DTS now lead the Women’s Premier League log with a maximum 12 points from three matches, followed by WOB on 4, Wanderers on 3 and Unam who still have to open their account
