Namibiaâ??s cricket team has gone to the top of the log in Pool A of the SAA Cup limited overs competition after beating Easterns by seven wickets on Sunday.
Namibia collected four points for the victory which puts them at the top of the limited overs competition with 22 points after six matches.
Namibia has won five of its six matches, with the only loss coming against Gauteng.
Northerns follow closely behind in second place with 21 points from six matches, while Gauteng lie third with 14 points from five matches.
Kwazulu Natal currently lead Pool B with 23 points from five matches, followed by Western Province (19 points from four matches) and Eastern Province (14 points from three matches).
On completion of the round robin matches, the top two teams in each pool will qualify for the semifinals of the competition.
Third in SAA Challenge
Namibia is lying third in Pool A of the three-day SAA Challenge competition, following their draw against Easterns on January 27.
Namibia has won four, lost one and drawn one of its six matches to date, for a total of 81,86 points.
Gauteng, who are unbeaten after five matches, lead the log with 97 points, followed by Northerns on 83,34 points after six matches.
Kwazulu Natal lead Pool B with 88,79 points after five matches, followed by Western Province (62,70 points after four matches) and Eastern Province (60,28 points after three matches).
