Namibia, Zimbabwe tie series

Zimbabwe beat Namibia 2-0 in a womenâ??s international soccer match on Saturday to tie their friendly series at 1-all.
Zimbabwe opened the scoring towards the end of the first half when Precious Mpala broke away on a counterattack and beat Namibian keeper Bonitha Eixas from close range.
Zimbabwe sealed the victory midway through the second half when Marylin Magozore headed a cross into the net.
Namibia won a lot of possession in midfield but their forwards were ineffective in front of goal. Zimbabwe, on the other hand, were always dangerous on the counterattack, where Magozore, Ntombiyelanga Ndlovu and Precious Mpala were in fine form.
For Namibia, Stella Williams was industrious in midfield, while Helvi Eliakim was solid at the back.

Namibia hit by injuries

It was however an expensive loss for Namibia, as four of their players â?? Helvi Eliakim, Susana Eises, Leandri Lukas and Queen Manga â?? left the field with injuries.
On Friday night Namibia beat Zimbabwe 2-1 in their opening match at the SKW field.
Both Namibiaâ??s goals were scored by Leandri Lukas, while Precious Mpala replied for Zimbabwe.
The matches served as preparation for Namibiaâ??s Olympic qualifier against DR Congo.
Namibia will host the DR Congo in Windhoek on the weekend of February 17 and 18, while the return leg will take place in Kinshasa on the weekend of March 10 and 11.
The winner on aggregate over the two legs will proceed to the second round which will be determined at the end of March.
