Brave Warriors coach Bernard Kaanjuka has named a 23-man squad to take on Zambia in a friendly match in Johannesburg on Saturday.

The majority of the players are local-based although five foreign-based players have also been included.

They are goalkeepers Virgil Vries of Golden Arrows and Ephraim Tjihonge of African Warriors; midfielders Lazarus Kaimbi of Osotspa Saraburi and Rudolf Bester of Orlando Pirates; and striker Tangeni Shipahu of Amazulu.

Tjihonge, Kaimbi and Bester have been training with the squad for the past week, while Vries and Shipahu will join up with the squad in Johannesburg.

Most of the players have formed part of Kaanjuka’s squad since he took over in September, although Black Africa striker Jerome Louis and Blue Waters striker Hendrik Somaeb have been recent additions.

Louis made his first appearance for the Brave Warriors in more than a year in the recent 0-0 draw against Angola, while Somaeb made his senior debut in the same match.
