Kaanjuka appointed caretaker Brave Warriors coach

The Namibia Football Association announced the appointment of Bernard Kaanjuka as Brave Warriors caretaker coach in a press release issued on Thursday.

The football authorities, the FA Executive Committee met recently to review the matter of the senior national team coach and appointed Bernard Kaanjuka as the acting coach after the agreement with Brain Isaacs ended with the Gambia match.

The Executive Committee expressed their gratitude to Isaacs for his valuable contribution to the Brave Warriors and football development in general, that came with its own challenges and experiences which the Executive Committee also recognized.

“Isaacs’s contribution deserves and has received special recognition from the NFA, but the Executive Committee felt that the time was right for the preparation of the team for the future and decided to give Bernard Kaanjuka the acting coach position,” the statement read.

“Kaanjuka will occupy the acting coach position until such time that all stakeholders have been consulted on the matter of the post advertisement, to which all persons , including Isaacs will be welcome to apply and be considered as well,” it added.

The NFA called on the Namibian nation to render its support to the national team as it moves forward with Kaanjuka.
