WOB beat Ramblers in high scoring thriller

Windhoek Old Boys Social Club (WOBSC) beat Ramblers 9-4 in an enthralling Tafel Lager men?s Premier League match on March 6.
Ramblers were still in with a chance after trailing 2-1 at halftime, but WOB turned on the pressure after the break with some brilliant performances. Archie Botha, with five goals, and Trevor Cormack and Bucko Bartlett, with two each, all combined brilliantly as WOB ran riot.
Bartlett opened the scoring with an 8th minute goal, but Reagan Graig equalised four minutes later after latching on to Waldo Lassen?s centre. Just before the break Archie Botha scored his first goal from a short corner.
Four minutes into the second half, Bartlett scored a great goal from open play, and when Botha added two more in quick succession it seemed to be all over for Ramblers.
They however refused to lie down and Henry Louw scored their second goal in the 26th minute after a great run by Graig. A minute later Graig found the net from a short corner, but the goal was disallowed after an infringement.
WOBSC came back and after some brilliant interplay between Bartlett and Cormack, the latter added two quick goals to stretch their lead to 7-2.
But once again Ramblers came back and two quick goals by Coenie Botha reduced the deficit to 7-4.
But WOBSC had the final say as Botha added two goals in the final two minutes after combining well with Bartlett.
WOBSC and Ramblers are lying third and fourth on the log. Both teams are on 8 points after 5 matches, although WOB have a better goal aggregate.
DTS lead the log with 17 points from 7 matches, followed by Unam with 15 points from 4 matches.
