Botswana easily through against Namibia

The Botswana men's football team advanced to the finals of the football tournament at the Zone VI Youth Games after dispatching Namibia 3-0 today at the Sam Nujoma Stadium in Windhoek.
Although the Namibians started strongly and dominated possession and territory throughout, it was the Batswana who made good use of their limited opportunities in the Namibian box.
In a tight game with most action in the middle third of the field, Monageng Thaele put his team in front halfway through the first half. The half time score was 1-0.
The second half saw the Namibians continuously pressurise the Botswana defense and goalkeeper. The Batswana played more enterprising football and were rewarded with two more goals. Mandla Mgadla and Tebogo Sebina were the Botswana goal scorers in the second half.
The end of the game saw a flurry of activity around both goal mouthes, with the best of the chances falling to the Namibians, who could not convert. The clearest goal scoring chance for the Namibians came deep into extra time at the end of the game.
Botswana will face South Africa in the final of the football tournament, on July 5, at the Zone VI Youth Games.
