The semi finals of the MTC Rugby Premier League will be played at the Hage Geingob Stadium on Saturday 11 September.
The first semi final will see traditional rivals Rehoboth and Reho Falcons pitted against each other for a chance to play in the final of the 2010 rugby season.
Falcons finished second on the log with 53 points and Rehoboth were third with 43 points.
Falcons have gotten the better of Rehoboth the two times they played against each other during the season. On April 17 Falcons won 30-16 and on 26 June Rehoboth lost the Tommy Jarman Trophy 22-7.
The coach of Falcons, Frank Isaacks said the team would not rely on their past results against Rehoboth.
“What happened in the past is now in the past for us. We are facing a totally new game and we will approach it as such,” Isaacks said.
“We are not going to change a lot of things in the team. Infact the team we used in our last match against Suburbs will be the team that will face Rehoboth in the semi finals.”
“Our main concern is that of Morris Kapitako, our prop who might not be fit for the semi final but might be fit for the final. He broke a bone in his foot and is on his way to recovery, we will only see on Thursday if he is fit enough for the semi finals,” Isaacks said.
On their opponents, Isaacks said that he had not seen them play since the Tommy Jarman Trophy match.
“I hear that their backline and forwards are working together and are good. We are not going to take them on in the front but we will instead play a 15 man game and counter them,” Isaacks added.
Former champions, Wanderers finished on top of the log with an impressive 54 points and will face fourth place finishers Western Suburbs who had 37 points in the second semi final.
Suburbs won the first match the two teams played against each other on 29 May 34-10. Wanderers however managed to win the round 11 encounter on July 24 narrowly 39-37.
The day will start off with the Ladies Premier League semi final matches. Western Suburbs will face Kudus at 10h00 while Reho Pandas play against Amazon in the second semi final at 11h25.
The two First League semi finals will follow at 12h50 and 14h35.
The first Premier League semi final between Rehoboth and Falcons will be played at 16h20 and the second one between Wanderers and Suburbs will start at 18h05.
