More than 100 riders and horses participated in the Aida Auas View Annual Equestrian Championships at the Auas Valley Stables in Windhoek on May 27 and 28.
One of the highlights of the event was a new competition, the Verizon Auas View Master Championships, which offered N$5 000 in prize money.
Five children, five juniors and five adults participated in this unique event with a winner selected for each category. From these three winners, a final winner was then selected, based on time and points.
The Children Master was Janica Hasse on Souris, the Junior Master was Duandri Verster on Mr Chips and the Adult Master was Michelle Kunzle on Jessica. The overall champion, or the Master of Masters was Duandri Verster on Mr Chips.
