WOB go second

Windhoek Old Boys comfortably beat Wanderers 5-2 in a menâ??s Premier League match on March 6, 2006, to move up to second position on the log.
The match wasnâ??t as one-sided as the score line suggests, but the difference was that WOB took their chances while Wanderers did not.
Wanderers immediately forced two early short corners but could not capitalise before WOB took the lead through a fine shot by Trevor Cormack from open play.
Cormack scored his second goal after being put clear by Archie Botha and rounding a diving Fanie Dorfling in Wanderersâ?? goals.
Dorfling caught the eye with his flying tackles on WOBâ??s strikers, but he couldnâ??t stop Ettienne de Villiers who scored a fine solo goal just before halftime.
Stefan du Preez pulled a goal back for Wanderers shortly after the restart, but Bucko Bartlett put WOB further ahead from the penalty spot after Terry Butcher was penalised for an infringement in the box.
Bartlett added his second goal from a short corner, and although Wanderers had several chances from set pieces they couldnâ??t find the net.
In the final minutes Stefan du Preez grabbed a consolation goal for Wanderers, finding the net through a crowded penalty box.
The victory puts WOB second on 9 points from 4 matches, still 3 points behind log leaders Unam.
