Namibian refs take charge of World Cup qualifier
Submitted by editor on Tue, 06/05/2012 - 20:10.Namibian referees, Rainhold Shikongo, David Shaanika, Hendrick Swartbooi and Helmut Andreas, will on Friday leave for Lesotho for a 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifier match.
The referees will be in charge of Lesotho’s home match against Sudan in Maseru on Sunday, 10 June.
Lesotho last weekend lost 7-0 against Ghana, while Sudan are coming off a comprehensive 2-0 win over African champions Zambia in Khartoum in Group D.
The defeat at the hands of the Black Stars was the worst for Lesotho in over 20 years and equals the 7-0 loss suffered at the hands of the then Zaire in 1993.
Enduro Series goes to Aranos
Submitted by editor on Tue, 06/05/2012 - 18:03.The fourth round of the Bank Windhoek Namibian National Series will take place in Aranos on Saturday, 9 June 2012.
The Aranos event is to be held in and around the Aranos area covering ground on several farms on the outskirts of the town.
The Aranos Endurance Club in partnership with the Namibian Enduro Club has put in a great amount of effort to ensure that this event will again be a huge success and that there will be plenty of action for the riders and the spectators.
