Ramblers bring BA’s unbeaten run to an end

Emilio Martin

Black Africa’s unbeaten run came to a sudden halt on Friday night when they lost 1-0 to Ramblers at the Sam Nujoma Stadium.

A great freekick by Emilio Martin 7m before halftime gave Ramblers the lead against the run of play, which they protected with growing confidence in the second half.

Black Africa for their part, grew increasingly erratic and frustrated as the match wore on and picked up several yellow cards in the process.

Louis moves two goals clear

Jerome Louis

Black Africa striker Jerome Louis has taken the lead in the NPL top goal scorer of the season race after scoring his tenth goal against Blue Waters last Saturday.

Louis gave BA the lead shortly after half-time when he scrambled the ball in from a corner, but Hendrik Somaeb equalised for Blue Waters ten minutes later, as the match ended in a 1-1 draw.

Louis has now broken two goals clear from the chasing pack and looks like a favourite to win the N$ 15 000 award.
