Rugby League finely balanced
Submitted by editor on Thu, 05/31/2012 - 15:27.The Namibian MTC Rugby Premier League resumes on Saturday with several interesting encounters in Windhoek and Rehoboth.
At the moment, four teams are within a point of each other at the top of the log, but this weekend’s results could have a significant bearing on the title race.
Log leaders United are at home to Rehoboth on Saturday and can expect a tough encounter. Rehoboth, who lost their last match 32-26 to Wanderers, are just a point behind on 12 points and will be keen to get back to winning ways.
Women’s Super League hots up
Submitted by editor on Thu, 05/31/2012 - 11:21.Log leaders JS Academy will face Challengers on Sunday while second placed Okahandja Beauties and Poly Babes clash on Saturday as the NFA Women’s Super League continues this weekend.
JS Academy who lead the league on 28 points from 11 matches should be far too strong for bottom of the log Challengers, who have been completely outclassed in the league so far.
They have not collected a single point, while they have only scored 5 goals and conceded a massive 145 goals in their 11 matches to date. The match is scheduled to start at the NFA Technical Centre at 10h00 on Sunday.
