Rudolph optimistic about Namibia’s chances

Namibian cricket coach Johan Rudolph said they had prepared thoroughly for the T20 Cricket World Cup qualifiers and were hopeful of securing one of the two qualifying spots for the T20 World Cup.

Speaking at the Namibian team’s capping ceremony in Windhoek on Thursday, Rudolph said the team was well prepared for the tournament.

NSC requests N$16 million for top sport codes

Namibia’s top sport codes will receive N$2 million each from the Namibia Sport Council if their proposed budget is accepted by the Namibian government.

Namibia Sport Commissioner Piet du Plooy said this at the capping ceremony of the national cricket team on Thursday, before they depart for the United Arab Emirates to participate in the Cricket T20 World Cup qualifiers next week.
