Wilko Risser joins Aldershot Town

Namibia striker Wilko Risser on Monday joined English Football league two side Aldershot Town FC on a short-term deal.

The 29-year-old Risser was recently released by Maltese side Floriana FC, but was signed up by Aldershot following successful trials.

According to the club’s website, manager Dean Holdsworth believes Risser will give his side great impetus going forward:

Nedbank Craven Camp a big success

The Nedbank Craven Camp took place over the past weekend with 25 young and developing riders from all over Namibia basing themselves at the Omaruru Rest Camp for three days of intense training.

According to a press release issued by Proactive Sports Marketing and Management, the pivotal figure of the camp was the professional cyclist and 2012 Olympic contestant, Dan Craven. With his advice and support the 25 participants received training in fitness and strength, as well as techniques and tactics.

Log leaders Black Africa return to their league campaign with a tough assignment against Tigers at the Sam Nujoma Stadium on Wednesday night.

BA have been out of league action for 10 days now, during which time they have seen their lead at the top of the log whittled down to six points, although they still have a game in hand on the chasing pack.
