A penalty goal two minutes from time gave Ramblers a share of the spoils in 1-1 draw against SKW on Friday night.

SKW seemed to have secured a victory after a great individual goal by Simeon Tjiueza on 62m, but Mboma Nailonga equalised for Ramblers from the penalty spot with two minutes to go.

SKW did most of the attacking in the first half but their finishing let them down. Joslin Kamatuka and Eddy Mangoumou shot wide early on while Henry Somseb found the net, only to be ruled offside.

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has decided to defer its judgement on the eligibility of Cameroon-born defender Herve Zengue to play for Burkina Faso during the AFCON qualifiers.

Namibia played their second leg match against Burkina Faso in Windhoek under protest claiming that Zengue was not eligible to play for Burkina Faso because he was still a Cameroonian.

CAF said they decided to postpone the decision, “in order to obtain more information and determine (Zengue’s) qualification or non-qualification,” the statement read.
