Gauteng in remarkable victory

Gauteng scored a remarkable 6-wicket victory against Namibia in their 3-Day CSA Challenge match on Saturday.

The match seemed to be heading for a draw when Namibia were all out for 291 in their second innings, leaving Gauteng a victory target of 234 in little more than 2 hours.

Gauteng however went all out for the victory target and reached the winning target off only 23 overs at an average of more than 10 runs to the over.

Black Africa thrashed United Stars 6-1 in Rundu to retain their 100 per cent record in the MTC Premiership and remain three points clear at the top of the Premiership log.

Black Africa streaked into a 5-0 lead at halftime before taking their foot off the pedal in the second half.

Jerome Louis scored two goals while Bryan Bantam, Willy Stephanus, Klaas Blom and Marco van Wyk scored the other goals. Frans Mukonda replied for United Stars.

The result sees BA leading the log on 15 points from 5 matches, while united Stars remain rooted to the bottom with 0 points from 5 matches.
