Brave Warriors arrive in Gambia

The Brave Warriors finally arrived in Gambia just after midnight on Friday morning. They received a courteous welcome with officials from the Gambian Football Association meeting them at Banjul International Airport and then whisking them through customs where they boarded a bus to Palm Beach Hotel. The bus, accompanied by security guards on motorbikes and vehicles with wailing sirens, sped through Banjul and although it was already past midnight, hordes of people were still on the streets, waving enthusiastically at the passing cavalcade.
Three more codes added to the Commonwealth Games team

The Namibia National Olympic Committee (NNOC) on Friday announced three more codes that will participate at the Commonwealth Games in India from 3 to 14 October.
Cycling, boxing and shooting were added after the NNOC extended the deadline for the federations to submit the names of athletes who had met the qualification criteria from June 30 to 31 August.
The number of Namibian athletes that will participate at the Games now stands at 28 (9 females and 19 males) and 11 officials.
