The Namibian men’s inline hockey team will play South Africa in an IIHF World Championship qualifier on August 13 and 14 in Windhoek.
There will be two matches at the International Hall at the Show Grounds. Both matches will be played at 20h30 during the Badgers annual inline hockey tournament.
Namibia first played in the IIHF World Championships after they won the qualification series against South Africa in 2004.
Following the successful FIFA Grassroots Course and festival in Windhoek in April, a second leg of the Course will be held in Oshakati in November.
The Football Association has communicated to FIFA’s Development Officer Ashford Mamelodi, informing him of the FA’s commitment to grassroots football.
The program at Oshakati will run from 08 to 13 November with a football seminar for coaches’ and administrators, culminating in a football festival for kids on the final day.
