Germany stun Argentina

Germany advanced to the semifinals of the World Cup after crushing Argentina 4-0 in Cape Town on Saturday. Thomas Mueller put Germany ahead after only three minutes, while two second half goals by Miroslav Klose and one by Arne Friedrich completed their emphatic victory.

Germany stamped their authority on the game from the start as Mueller headed in a corner by Schweinsteiger after only three minutes.

Australia beat Namibia 5-0

Namibia lost 5-0 to Australia at the Junior Inline Hockey World Championships to miss out on a chance of winning the second division lower bracket.

After qualifying fifth in Group B, Namibia was slated to play Australia, who finished sixth in Group A. The winner of the Namibia/Australia game would then play the survivor of the Germany/Mexico game to determine the top placement in the lower bracket and the ninth placed team in the overall tournament.
