Holland through to second round

Dutch fans

Holland became the second team after Argentina to qualify for the second round of the 2010 World Cup after they beat Japan 1-0 in a Group E match on Saturday. Midfielder Wesley Sneijder scored the only goal of the match shortly after halftime to put Holland at the top of Group E with a maximum six points from two matches.

In a tactical game of few chances, Japan defended well to keep Holland at bay until the 53rd minute when Sneijder pounced onto a clearance to rifle a 25m shot into the net.

Rehoboth on top after beating Unam

Rehoboth are now leading the MTC Rugby Premier League after they beat Unam 48-39 in a highly charged game on Saturday.

Defending champions, Rehoboth will now go in to the second half of the season as the log leaders after a rocky first half that saw them losing their first two games against Reho Falcon and Wanderers.

Werner Jeffery, the coach of Unam thought that his charges, who otherwise played a great match, failed in the last minutes to capitalise on the opportunities that came their way.
