Civics beat Pirates in thriller

Orlando Pirates

Civics dumped defending champions Orlando Pirates out of the Leo NFA Cup in one of the most dramatic matches in recent years on Friday night. Civics showed great determination to overcome a 2-1 halftime deficit and a man down to equalise late in the second half.

In an incredible penalty shoot out, fortunes swayed to and fro until Bradley Werman scored with his spot kick to give Civics a 6-5 victory and set off scenes of jubilation.
