Ohangwena caused a major upset when they beat defending champions Omaheke 1-0 at the Namibia Newspaper Cup on Saturday.

Winger Abraham Nghikwena scored the winning goal midway through the second half when he sent in a cross from the left wing that eluded Omaheke’s defence and went into the goal.

The star-studded Omaheke side which included national striker Roger Katjiteo and Premier League players like Ikuaterua Tjozongoro and Shaun Kamutuka did most of the attacking in the first half but could not break through Ohangwena’s defence.
